WHO WE ARE
Engineering Performance. Delivering Production. Building Long-Term Mining Partnerships.
RIP Blasting is a specialist drilling and blasting contractor operating primarily in the Highveld coalfields. Based in Emalahleni, the company provides mining clients with integrated, performance-driven drilling and blasting solutions designed to maximise productivity, reduce operational risk and improve downstream mining performance.
WHO WE ARE
RIP Blasting - Rock Infiltration Professionals - delivers precision drilling and blasting solutions for optimal mining performance.

Our core capability lies in production drilling and blasting for opencast mining environments, with particular experience in the Highveld coalfields. Our work focuses on accurately drilling and efficiently blasting hard overburden and interburden to unlock coal production while maintaining control over fragmentation, flyrock, vibration, airblast, wall damage and the top-of-coal boundary.

RIP combines technical engineering, modern production equipment, experienced people and disciplined operational systems to deliver measurable value to mining clients.

OUR APPROACH
ENGINEERED FOR MININGÂ PERFORMANCE
Assess → Design → Drill → Blast → Measure → Improve
We begin by understanding the geological and operational requirements, develop an optimised blast design, execute accurate drilling and controlled blasting, assess the results and use measured performance to continually refine subsequent blast designs.
Â
Technical Assessment
Mining areas and operating conditions are evaluated before production drilling commences.
Â
Optimised Design
Blast designs are developed around geology, bench geometry, equipment capability and production targets.
Â
Accurate Drilling
Drilling is executed in accordance with design parameters, with controls around hole depth, inclination and ground conditions.
Â
Controlled Execution
Blasting is carried out under disciplined site procedures with monitoring and QA/QC.
Â
Post-Blast Analysis
Fragmentation, diggability, wall response and downstream production performance are assessed.
